Electricity, everybody on the planet is familiar with this word, discovered in the year 1752 by Benjamin Franklin, it was once of no use and was only used for magic tricks. But now the world has transformed, and everything depends on electricity, even the smallest things like a watch works with electricity now. A world without electricity would seem like a terrifying thought as everything depends on electricity, but every year many industries suffer from losses which are caused by unexpected power cuts. Billions of dollars are lost due to sudden and unexpected power cuts around the world, and the most affected countries that suffer from sudden power cuts are the developing ones. All types of industries are present in a developing country, but many companies still hesitate to enter these markets due to their weak infrastructure and lack of power management. You may ask, but aren’t there any power backups? The answer is yes there are, but these power backups sometimes fail to start up on time leading to losses, and sometimes they are not able to take up the load.
As humans have been advancing, power distribution networks have been continuously improving, and new kinds of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) are coming up in the market. The latest type of UPS currently available in the market are Smart UPS, and they hold an answer to the power cut problems industries face. Smart-UPS are built to save data in case of a power cut, and they are the present and the future of UPS.
Smart UPS are unique to its kind, and they don’t just act as a backup instead, they have advanced electric relays which makes sure that the supply of the electric current is stable. These Smart-UPS have some features that the usual UPS lack, like they can alter the voltage levels and maintain a constant flow in case of a voltage fluctuation which is called Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), they even have alarms that ring when the batteries are running low on juice or when there is a power cut. Like every other smart device available in the market like TVs, ACs, etc. Smart-UPS are also connected to the network or a cloud through which you can access them and take control of them. All the devices are connected to servers these days which have all the critical data, to make sure that they don’t suffer due to a power cut it is essential to make sure that they are connected to the electrical switchboards which are further connected to the UPS. Companies like Schneider Electrics also have a wide range of products in this segment, and they have been a trusted brand for many years. It has become somewhat a necessity than a need to counter the problems caused by power outages because if this is overlooked, then a loss of company is on the cards. Installing Smart-UPS is the answer to the problem of sudden outages and looking at the conditions in developing countries like India, without them survival can be quite a task.
